Return past due library materials penalty free while helping area residents. Everyone wins in Christian County Library's first event of our fiftieth anniversary celebration. From Monday, January 30, 2006 through Saturday, February 11, 2006 the theme is Fill the Shelves. In return for one non-perishable food, personal care or household cleaning item per dollar due in late fees, people who have unreturned library materials can clear their account, make library items available for use again and replenish the public pantry. All contributions will be given to The Least of These for distribution to families in need.
Per item late fees are five cents a day with a maximum of $1.50 each for items more than thirty days past due. Learn your total amount due at "My Account" at coolcat.org using your patron number or call the library at 581-2432.
Individuals owing $5.00 or more in late fees are ineligible to borrow new library materials until payments reduce debt to below $5.00. Returning late materials during "Fill the Shelves" allows people to reinstate eligibility perhaps for less than fees owed.
Offer does not apply to lost or damaged library materials or accumulated fees for previously returned items. Library materials and items for Least of these should be brought to The Christian County Library at 1005 N. 4th Ave., Ozark. Library hours are 8:30 - 8:00 Monday through Thursday and 8:30 to 5:00 Friday and Saturday.
